California Love, On Blogging & Some Recent Purchases


I'm about 6 months into blogging and during this time I've had the extreme pleasure of connecting with some very sweet and supportive ladies. I look forward to their daily updates and enjoy some lighthearted entertainment and fashion inspiration during my morning commute and after work. Okay, okay... I sneak in a peek here or there when I can snag a few minutes to de-stress or take my mind off of work.

This week Annie was sweet enough to send me some California love. (Thank you, Annie!) I figured I'd share them here for your viewing pleasure:

 

Annie has also graciously mentioned me a few times on her lovely blog and for that I must thank her for allowing me to ride on her coattails because I've been a lazy blogger. In retrospect, my blog thus far has been a social experiment revolving around quick snapshots of my daily outfits. While other dedicated bloggers take quality photos I have managed to eek by my online existence with my trusty iPhone. For that I do apologize to you, my dear reader, but at the moment it's what I have time for in my life.

Much to my chagrin summer's almost over and the nights are getting cooler. Time really flies when you're having fun. Summer is my favorite season in New England because the warmer weather allows you freedom to dress comfortably without a bulky jacket or coat to cover you up. I also love buying summer clothes as evidenced by my overactive Pinterest board and both Forever 21 and Banana Republic consistently came out with a lot of pieces that caught my eye. In fact, here are some of my recent finds from Forever 21 and Banana Republic:

I love sales (who doesn't?) and this past weekend Banana Republic had a pretty attractive promotion for Luxe cardholders. The caveat was that you had to visit in store in order to select 5 (full-priced) things for 50% off. I was really fortunate to receive double the BR love and I shared my good fortune with my boyfriend. Being overly eager, I visited my local store earlier in the week to scope out the goods. I only found two things which I did not end up not getting. (See them on me here.) However, my weekend visit with the boyfriend in tow proved much more fruitful.

For those of you in the States have a safe and happy Labor Day weekend. I'll be on vacation beginning Saturday. I'm visiting my family in PA for one full week but you can always find me on Instagram.  :)

  3. Hi Jess, I really like your blog. Don't ever feel bad about the photos being from an iPhone as opposed to a higher-end camera. We love seeing your fashion and I love that one blog post will show your outfits and pictures from different days in the week. I think it's what makes your blog unique, and you should keep it that way!

    Also, I am envious of your awesome handbag collection! Do you like your Gold Coast Leighton by KS? Ever since I saw it on you, I have been strongly considering it. I love the ivory color and the classic look of it.

      I actually returned the Gold Coast Leighton. I really liked the way it looked (classy bag) but it was too heavy (even while empty) and it didn't fit as much as I thought.
